Thankies! I tried drawing some more stuff with blending, and I think the paper is a bit too thin unfortunately. But I'll keep working with them and see what I can do :) Lawl thankyou, I think it was okay for a first try.
I didn't get a chance to comment on your post but I wanted to tell you, I'm sad to see you less active than usual. But it's good that you're taking time for the important things. I myself was afraid I'd have to step back from theO for a while because of school, but I managed to work things out for the most part.
Yay for copics!!! I'm so glad you're having fun with them already! I can totally relate to not wanting to use mine, they are too expensive O_o but its good that you're working with them now and getting used to them! You did awesome!! I also use really thin marker paper for my copics, they blend much easier that way!
Oh. Well, still, Pokemon contributed something to it.
And if they haven't made official ones... make ones yourself! *would do it if she could afford all that felt...*
I should smite thee for not taking advantage of this opportunity! jk jk, I would never smite you.
It actually was BEFORE Pokemon that I felt obligated to get everything in a certain toy series or set. I guess that's why I liked Pokemon so much initially. Although I never did catch 'em all. And according to this Flickr account, they haven't made plushies of every Pokemon yet.
I have some Prismacolors already. I don't use them as much as I should.
Call it karma. Call it luck. Me, I just don't give a... BOUNCE!
GENIUS... ORZ I forgot I'm already horrible with getting the details right in the first place *shot* that might take some practice... but thank you for the suggestion!
Pokemon did that, didn't it? My dad got me all the skin tones, the bold primaries, and the bright primaries, and with the exception of not having orange and purple and light green, I've got pretty much everything I think I'll need.
You can always get a set of Prismacolors to start, those are less expensive and are high quality too.
I have a tip about the pencil thing. Draw on one side of the page, flip it over, and color on the other side. Just remember to reverse all the details when you draw.
Personally, I'm afraid to invest in Copics, mostly because there are SO MANY COLORS. You see, I have this "collect them all" mentality that my TV imbued within me at a very young age. And even a set of 72 wouldn't be enough because it would be divided into reds, yellows, blues, oranges, greens, purples, flesh tones, greys, et cetera.
